Lucas Carvalho has long focused on online training as a personal trainer. In doing so, he trains professional football players around the world. His coaching career began in 2013 after completing his sports studies in his native Brazil. In 2015, the then 27-year-old moved to Ukraine, where he coached a group of players from Shakhtar Donetsk – including Marlos Bonfim. The Brazilian-born Ukrainian midfielder doubled his scoring rate under Carvalho's guidance, was named Player of the Year in Ukraine, and was also included in the Europa League Team of the Season. This is just one of many examples demonstrating Carvalho's ability to help athletes achieve new heights.

After a year in Kiev, the coach moved to Manchester. There, he accompanied Memphis Depay as an individual coach. At that time, the then 22-year-old Dutch winger had been struggling to establish himself in the Premier League since his transfer to Manchester United in 2015. Under both Louis van Gaal and José Mourinho, Depay made only sporadic appearances. Despite this challenging period for the player, Carvalho still managed to push him to his limits in extra training sessions and kept his motivation high. However, after the winger had only 134 minutes of playing time in the first half of the 2016/17 season, both coach and player decided to seek a transfer.

For Carvalho and his protégé, the journey continued to France. The next chapter was with Olympique Lyon. From the very beginning, the Dutchman was given the trust he needed, and the more than a hundred sessions with Lucas Carvalho paid off. In the second half of the 2016/17 season, Memphis Depay already recorded 13 goal contributions. In the following season, he added another 36 goal contributions. However, after one successful year of working together, Carvalho and Depay went their separate ways, as Carvalho wanted to return to Brazil. In Rio de Janeiro, he then worked with numerous players from the first and second Brazilian leagues until the end of 2017.

At the beginning of 2018, the coach headed to Germany. There, he coached Thiago Alcântara, Javi Martínez, Juan Bernat, and Rafinha – all of whom were players for FC Bayern Munich at the time. Over his three years in Munich, his athletes achieved major milestones, most notably winning the UEFA Champions League in 2020. In addition, starting in 2018, Carvalho began working online with professional footballers, including Granit Xhaka, the captain of the Swiss national team, who was then playing for FC Arsenal.
